Sales Spotlight: Courtney Simo

By Devin Nori March 15, 2022
Favorite ivision Client Engagement Value: I am empowered to go the extra mile for my coworkers, clients and community.
Courtney’s Career Journey:

After graduating from Troy University, I started my professional career in Sales for an IT staffing and rural sourcing company, Optomi Professional Services. I absolutely loved working with my clients to understand their hiring needs, helping people advance their professional careers and keeping up with the continually evolving technology industry! Two and a half years ago, I joined ivision as a Sr. Account Executive, which has allowed me to continue following my passion of helping clients meet their business needs through technology advancements.

Favorite Part of the Job:

Interacting with clients is by far my favorite part of the job! I’m always eager to listen, learn and provide guidance (with my great team of Solution Architects) to solve their needs for security, cloud, network, data center or digital workspace. Whether we are helping a client architect a plan, implement a solution or support their environment through our Managed Services practice, there is something very gratifying about helping a client accomplish their vision and long-term goals.

Favorite ivision Event:

ivision does a great job at creating events with our clients, partners and internal team through sporting events, CIO/CISO Forums, TopGolf, Lunch and Learns, happy hours, dinners, etc. However, our CIO Summit has been my favorite event! This past year we had about 40 IT executives from our client base attend a 3-day, 2-night event Barnsley Gardens. The schedule was filled with panel discussions, breakout sessions and guest speakers, as well as opportunities to socialize through the activities that Barnsley offers.

Community Involvement:

Engaging with the community was one of the big reasons that attracted me to joining ivision! ivision is a big believer in giving back to the community, and our team has supported my personal involvement with Atlanta Technology Professionals and Inspiredu. As a company, we are committed to giving back our time and resources through 1% Pledge.

I serve as the President for Atlanta Technology Professionals (ATP), a volunteer led non-profit, professional networking organization focused on bringing technology professionals together through educational yet fun events! Volunteering on the Board for Inspiredu is another key area that I chose to spend my time giving back. Inspiredu is focused on bridging the digital divide in the classroom by repurposing corporate donated laptops to children in underserved neighborhoods of Atlanta.

Fun Fact:

In college, I studied abroad in South Africa and Ecuador. Through those experiences I realized how passionate I am about trying new things, getting outside of your comfort zone, learning through experiences and seeing the world! The scariest thing I’ve done to get outside of my comfort zone, is bungee jump off the world’s highest bungee jump – 706 feet!
