Engineer Spotlight: Ken Wiggins

By Devin Nori November 20, 2023

What inspired you to become an Engineer?

Growing up in Cocoa Beach, FL and having the chance to watch NASA send up rockets.  Also, going to school near NASA, we constantly had employees briefing on new technologies and such trying to inspire us all – I guess it worked.

Ken’s Career Journey

I spent 14 years active-Duty Air Force, with seven of those years working on the Tech side of things and another seven as an AF Office of Special Investigations Federal Agent running Terrorism and Narcotics investigations. After the Air Force, I had a few Contract roles that led me to Immediate Credit Recovery (ICR) as a System Administrator. However, thanks to COVID and the shutdown, ICR had to close the doors, which led me to being a contractor for a period before coming onboard with ivision.

What is your favorite part of the job?

Currently, I am onsite at TireHub, and I’d have to say my favorite part is the environment here. TireHub treats us as part of the team instead of a hired service provider. The weekly lunch being catered is a plus also!

On another note, I will say that the Air Force spoiled me with Knowledge Articles and continuity. So, when onboarding with ivision and seeing the push for Kas, it was refreshing.

What’s a fun fact about yourself that others might find interesting?

Other than being an IT Geek, I also rebuild and tinker on motorcycles.

What do you like to do outside of work?

When not spending as much time as possible with my family, I’m usually out on my motorcycle.
