What inspired you to become an Engineer?

I watched my dad grow from a deskside technician to the Director of Technology for a large healthcare company. When I was a teenager, I loved to help him with technical projects where I could. Technology was my calling and my dad empowered me to succeed.

Jackson’s Career Journey

I started my career 18 years ago in an information security role. I worked in healthcare for about eight years before moving to consulting as a Network Engineer and eventually as the Solutions Architect for technology services. This is where I really started digging into cloud services such as AWS and Azure. When I began seeking opportunities to focus purely on cloud, I received an email from one of ivision’s recruiters (Sean Casey) describing the role I was after. After some back and forth conversations and a few interviews, I knew ivision is where I wanted to be.

What is your favorite part of the job?

My favorite part of the job is working with people. I strive to provide extraordinary customer service and go the extra mile at every opportunity.

What’s a fun fact about yourself that others might find interesting?

I love to travel. I have visited almost every state in the U.S. as well as many countries in western Europe as well as China.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I am very involved with my synagogue and volunteer as often as I can. Riding my motorcycle in the warmer months is a huge pastime for me. I also enjoy going hiking as much as humanly possible.
