What inspired you to become an Engineer?
A little over 10 years ago, I worked at a company that used ivision managed services. I was inspired by the sheer talent and white-glove service that ivision provided. The ivision team really opened my eyes to engineering excellence, promoting long term solutions (not just band-aids), and that’s when I knew I wanted to be a part of that excellence one day.
Brad’s Career Journey
I started out building/repairing PC’s before starting a career in IT I earned several certifications on my own before landing my first IT job as a helpdesk analyst with a government contractor in Washington, DC. From there, I moved on to Desktop Support role with a fin-tech company, and then moved to Jr. Sys Admin role with a healthcare company before finally joining ivision as an engineer in 2015.
What is your favorite part of the job?
No day is the same – there is always new challenges and new opportunities every day. Also, getting to work with a team of amazing engineers that engineer thoughtful solutions and working with our wonderful clients to promote long-term partnerships.
What’s a fun fact about yourself that others might find interesting?
I’m a former collegiate tennis player (I even got lucky once and won against someone that was on the pro tour).
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy running, spending time with my family, helping my son learn scripting in Minecraft, trying new restaurants, and going to six flags with my son.
