Employee Volunteering, Corporate Giving & Pledge 1%

Pledge 1%: Our Second Year

In 2018, iVision joined Pledge 1%, a network of companies committed to giving back 1% of their time and profits to help improve local communities. Since then, we’ve created opportunities for iVision employees that leave a lasting impact on nonprofit organizations close to our hearts.

This year, iVision partnered with a number of organizations in the Atlanta area. We organized group volunteer events and donated as a company to nonprofits in our community. There are a few highlights from 2019 that we wanted to share.

Foster Care Support Foundation

iVision helped set up for the Foster Care Support Foundation 2019 Prom-a-Palooza. The annual event is an exciting day for displaced high school girls. It allows them to select free prom dresses and accessories so that they can experience a magical evening without worrying about cost. We had an amazing time contributing to such an incredible experience.

Atlanta Community Food Bank

For the second year in a row, we partnered with Atlanta Community Food Bank to volunteer at their Product Resource Center. We created a healthy internal competition to pit two days of volunteers against one another in a race to donate items and labor. Together, more than 80 of our employee volunteers came together over the two days. They packed nearly 37,000 pounds of food and provided more than 28,000 meals to people in need.

PowerMyLearning

Our support of PowerMyLearning began in 2016 with an electronics collection drive and it hasn’t stopped since. iVision continues to engage through financial donations and multiple employee volunteer workshops. They are a favorite among our team members who enjoy using their technical skills to serve others. We even made a video this year showcasing our partnership with PowerMyLearning!

Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta

As part of Hands On Atlanta Week, our team members volunteered their time and strength to Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta. The Making A House A Home initiative provides essential household furniture to individuals and families in need to offer a warm, welcoming home environment. In a few short hours, 15 iVision employees worked together to build 30 coffee tables.

Cristo Rey Atlanta

iVision is also a proud sponsor of Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School and a founding member of their job partner program. This fall was our sixth consecutive year welcoming new Cristo Rey student interns to the company! All of our interns this year were amazing and we look forward to continuing our partnership with the program.

The Empty Stocking Fund

In December, nearly 60 iVision employees spent time with The Empty Stocking Fund, which empowers metro Atlanta families living in poverty. Our teams volunteered in Santa’s Village, where parents and guardians are provided with the opportunity to select brand new gifts to give their children for the holidays.

The Employee Volunteer Difference

In addition to company-sponsored events, our employees went above and beyond in their own time to make an impact where it counts. This year, we completed a total of 2,673 volunteer hours together. iVision team members committed 20 of their work hours to service, and have fulfilled that promise through opportunities including:

  • Traveling with mission and service trips
  • Participating in charity golf tournaments
  • Serving meals to families at the Ronald McDonald House
  • Building homes with Habitat for Humanity

To date, 20% of the company has exceeded their 20 hours – including several who have more than doubled it! Giving back is part of our culture. Our employees are inspired to make the world a better place. We are so excited to continue our commitment to service next year. Thank you to all our team members, clients, and community partners who inspire us to do well and do good.
