How ivision Gives Back with iGive

Devin Nori, Sr. Communications Associate December 3, 2024

Service continues to drive our company culture and shapes the way we engage with our teammates, communities, and partners. By dedicating an allotted numbers of hours annually to volunteering, ivision’s iGive program empowers our team members to work with the organizations that mean the most to them at the time that works best for them. Throughout this year, our employees have had some incredible service opportunities, both in their personal lives and as a team. Check out some of the ways they’re making an impact all across the world!

Serving Causes Close to Home & Our Hearts

Hurricane Helene Cleanup

Following the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene, our team members were eager to offer help where they could. Mark Pierce, General Manager of the ivision Microsoft Group, travelled to Asheville, NC, to help with the cleanup associated with tornadoes and massive flooding. We also had several team members offer support through donations, both monetarily and in supplies, to those who needed them most.

Read Across America

Briam Fachisthers, Principal Consultant at ivision, is known around the company for his various service engagements throughout the year. In his own community, he often volunteers with Read Across America, where he visits elementary schools to read them stories.

El Salvador Mission Trip

Briam also participates in annual mission trips, this year visiting El Salvador. His group proudly distributed 650 pounds of donated items, served 500 dinners to homeless individuals, passed out blankets and clothing to those who needed them, volunteered at five orphanages to distribute supplies, built a home for a family in need, and brought 35 children from a local orphanage to the beach for a day in the sun. He looks forward to these trips every year, and the ivision team supports him from afar by making donations in advance of his trip to broaden his group’s impact.

Douglas County Animal Shelter

Chris Flinders, Sr. Director of Managed Services Operations, volunteers frequently at the Douglas County Animal Shelter, improving the lives of the animals while they’re in the shelter and paving the way for successful adoption. If you’re local to the area and are looking to adopt, view their adoptable pets on Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or Facebook!

Ducks Unlimited

Brian Bell, Sr. Service Delivery Executive at ivision, is involved with Ducks Unlimited, an organization dedicated to improving wetlands habitats for all types of animals throughout North America. Brian proudly volunteered at the Gwinnett County Chapter Annual Conservation Dinner to help expand their reach.

Creative Community Services

Ashley Altman, Sr. Account Executive at ivision, is involved with Creative Community Services, a non-profit that supports children in foster care with special needs. As the holidays are particularly challenging for them, she set up a wreath in our Atlanta office with tags representing each child’s wishes. Our team members have been able to select a wish off the tree and grant them!

Making a Difference Together

As a company, we come together to sponsor and participate in events that allow us to make our mark on the communities we live and work in. Check out just a few of the incredible organizations we’ve gotten to work with this year!

Hands On Atlanta – 9/11 Day of Service

Our team members worked with Hands On Atlanta to pack meals in memory of September 11th. On this tragic day in our nation’s history, it was incredibly special that we were able to make a positive impact in our community. The energy we experience at these kinds of service events is always remarkable, and this one felt truly special.

WIT’s Women of the Year Awards

We had the privilege of sponsoring Women in Tech (WIT)’s Women of the Year Awards at the Georgia Aquarium! We feel lucky to get to work with this incredible organization as they empower more women in the IT community and leadership positions.

Inspiredu Inspire Gala

ivision is a proud long-time sponsor of the Inspire Gala benefitting Inspiredu and their mission of help underserved youth develop the skills needed for education and career success through technology‐based learning tools and engagement activities with their families, communities, and schools. Several of our team members have also served on Inspiredu’s Advisory and Executive Boards, and we participate in golf tournaments and other fundraisers throughout the year to support the organization.

WITCON 2024

We proudly sponsored WITCON 2024, hosted by GetWITIt in Pittsburgh. It’s an honor to work with them in their mission of building a supportive environment where women of all backgrounds flourish in technology.

TechBridge Tee It Up Golf Tournament

We got to sponsor and compete in the TechBridge, Inc Tee IT Up Golf Tournament! We enjoyed the perfect weather, networked with IT leaders, and supported TechBridge’s mission of empowering nonprofits working in hunger relief, homeless support, and social justice through technology.

Empty Stocking Fund & Beyond

We’re thrilled to say that our impact this year hasn’t quite reached its peak! Later this month, we’ll be volunteering with the Empty Stocking Fund, packing gifts for disadvantaged children to brighten up their holiday season. Tragically, three years ago, their warehouse was broken into and donated items were stolen. Since then, our team has held a donation drive to raise additional funds for the organization, and those funds are matched. We look forward to continuing to improve our communities through the rest of this year and seeing what new service opportunities lie ahead in 2025!
