Engineer Spotlight – Clint St. Romain

Identifying areas of a network that has the potential to cause major issues or optimizing a client’s environment that can optimize application availability. In the end, this saves us time.

What inspired you to become an Engineer?

Technology has always interested me in how it has made our lives a lot easier. We have electricity everywhere we need, needles from the doc that don’t hurt anymore, certain foods have been changed to survive in conditions it couldn’t before.

Clint’s Career Journey

Funny story, my first official job started in a Frito-Lay warehouse. Those variety bags of chips with 5 flavors; I was the guy dumping bags of chips into bins to be sorted. I eventually found my way to JCPenney putting boxes and armoires into 52’ trailers. JCP had an opening for a field tech internally within the warehouse. From there went on to Sears Holdings for a couple years then was laid-off. After a few months of hunting, I came across ivision and started as an Engineer.

What is your favorite part of the job?

Being able to provide a solution for a customer that is lasting, not just for today.

What’s a fun fact about yourself that others might find interesting?

I like baking, cookies ‘n cakes. I have to literally take off to bake the way I want.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Gardening, playing a video game or reading about astronomy.
