By virtualizing its data center, an online college improves data security and simplifies backup and recovery.
COMPANY: Leading provider of distance education with students across the U.S.
PROJECT: Data Center
This online college, which built its business on virtual technology, wanted to make the leap to a fully virtualized data center.
iVision engineers designed data center architecture centered on a private-cloud platform. They executed the plan using VMware to construct a scalable platform and worked alongside the college’s IT team to transition from the physical infrastructure to a virtualized private cloud.
The college’s private-cloud platform strengthened data protection; improved the college’s ability to back up and recover data; and paved the way for expanded disaster recovery options.
