Challenge

The client wanted to maintain a supported version of Exchange, ensuring mail delivery for applications and devices that are not capable of connecting to Exchange Online directly. They wanted to use RBAC to delegate appropriate permissions to regional IT staff and enable auditing and logging of recipient attribute changes. The goal was to move Exchange to a new data center and decommission Exchange and DCs in the old data center.

Solution

ivision deployed Exchange SE servers in Europe and US data centers. We helped decommission Exchange 2016 servers and domain controllers in the old data center and migrated receive connector scopes and verify mail flow for mail-enabled applications and devices. ivision completed the project successfully, meeting the business challenges before Exchange 2016 support ends on October 14, 2025.
