Brad Dixon, Principal Consultant at ivision, recounts a recent engagement with a client who operated a vast operational technology network. This network included tens of thousands of systems that connected contractors all over the world through a centralized authorization system. Brad and our Security Assessment team successfully exploited vulnerabilities to gain unauthorized access to the system, then created a workflow where they’d be able to apply for and approve their own access to all of these OT systems.

Gone unattended to, this vulnerability had the potential to be catastrophic and surely would’ve made national news. Fortunately, ivision was able to advise the client of the issue and get those security gaps closed. Stay out of the headlines with the help of ivision’s Security Assessment team.
